Hey, you're ALIVE! Welcome back.

Yes, this whole thing is just too sweet isn't it? All these inconvenient truths getting in the way of their little Danish Inquisition.

LMAO.

It's good to see these twits hoisted by their own petard.

We don't know who released the data, so there can be no admission of how it was assembled. Most likely explanation seems to be that it was put together for an FOIA request subsequently denied, and leaked by a whistleblower inside the CRU -- so if that's true *of course* it was cherry-picked: there are no purely personal emails in the archive.

I've read a number of excerpts of the Harry_readme file. Looks a whole lot like the programmer, whose task I do not envy at all, acknowledges huge missing gaps and anomalies in the data and his inability to reconcile it all without literally making things up.

And at this point, I *can't* compare it to the original data, because, oh yeah, they've conveniently lost it. Nor, apparently, can they tell us exactly how they modified the data. And don't try to tell me that they couldn't keep the originals around for space reasons -- that's just completely ridiculous.

What I knew all along is that they were behaving suspiciously and unethically. Yes, I have a preconceived notion of AGW -- it's not proven, and I suspect their motives in trying to tell all of us that it was when they'd done no such thing, and vilifying us when we dared to question.

The ones acting like creationists here are the AGW advocate-scientists. I just want them to *do science* and stop promulgating articles of faith.

Bryan, I'm a little surprised at your bias here. You're so quick to condemn without hearing their side. The released data (which was cherry picked by the person who released it's own admission) is largely devoid of context. Yeah, there are a lot of things stated in the emails that are not becoming of a scientist, but they are after all, human.

Have you looked at what was released and compared it to what was actually done with the data? Or are you merely accepting what was handed to you because it lines up with your preconceived notions on AGW? Dig a little deeper and see if what is said in those emails is how they actually behaved in the end. You state repeatedly that you "knew it" as though you were precogniscent of some shady dealings. But on what evidence?

Kill the gross rhetoric and grandiose claims. You didn't "know" it and now you sound just like the crazed Creationists decrying the "Darwinist's" persecution of them.

Look at the data, not the hyperbole. It's what scientists do, in spite of their personal beliefs. You hold them to that standard, why not yourself?
